About the Role

 

The Paraplanner role is critical to making this happen. This will include the following responsibilities:

 

  • Prepare, produce, and ensure client financial and investment plans are appropriate for the client’s needs and in line with the agreed guidelines
  • Provide support to the Private Bank front line staff, ensuring that financial plans and investment strategies are of high quality and meeting the complex needs of clients and comply with agreed policies and procedures
  • Work with the manager, co-Paraplanners, and Advisers to manage the writing of financial plans to meet client needs
  • Assist and maintain in the development of templates and processes to ensure a robust operating environment to ensure proper information management
  • Collate information, prepare reports and presentations as requested
  • Recommend improvements to processes and take action as agreed

Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?

 

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Ability to understand and interpret data collected by third party advisers to make recommendations for clients balancing risk and client goals
  • Strong ability to write clear and concise technical proposals with facts, data and pragmatic use of narrative to effectively communicate recommendations
  • Excellent Judgement to determine that the quality of the client information gathered is consistent with the client's goals and objectives
  • Ability to adapt quickly, work under pressure, and manage multiple activities in accordance with delivery requirements and timelines
  • Ability to build strong relationships and stakeholder management across the business
  • Initiative to discuss, debate, and provide direction to assist advisers
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Advantageous to have completed (or studying towards the completion of) a Graduate Diploma in Business Studies with a Personal Financial Planning endorsement, Certificate in Financial Planning or equivalent
