Mō te tūranga – About the role
As a Media Performance Manager in our Media & Marketing Performance team, you’ll play a key role in shaping ANZ’s media investment strategy, lifting media capability across the team, and driving a unified planning approach across the business.
This role exists to ensure we’re maximising our marketing efforts — as measured by econometrics and agreed marketing KPIs — by optimising for both effectiveness and efficiency. You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders and our media agency partners to deliver best-in-class outcomes.

Ka aha tō rā e kite ai? - What will your day look like?
You’ll be leading the strategic direction of ANZ’s media investment and ensuring our marketing efforts are both effective and efficient. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement and a passion for data-driven decision-making.
- Shape and report on ANZ’s total media investment strategy, including SOV and investment mix
- Build media capability across the marketing team and ensure consistency from agency partners
- Optimise media performance using econometric insights and marketing KPIs
- Manage media agency relationships and direct media partner engagement
- Identify and assess emerging media opportunities through data, trends, and stakeholder input
- Own the econometrics model to ensure timely insights and drive continuous improvement
Ōu Pūkenga – What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Solid experience in media planning or investment, gained in either agency environments or in-house marketing teams
- Strong understanding of both offline and online media channels, with a keen eye on emerging trends and platforms
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across a range of senior and cross-functional teams
- Proven ability to manage budgets and oversee media investment with financial discipline
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
