The Marketing Manager – Content leads strategic content initiatives to support brand objectives within the Brand & Advertising function. The role ensures a consistent, high-quality approach to content across the Marketing Centre of Excellence and all segments, spanning key channels such as social, video, and web.
With a strong customer focus, the role ensures that content is purposeful and aligned to brand standards while helping improve customers’ financial wellbeing. By delivering clear, relevant, and impactful messaging, the position drives meaningful engagement and positive customer outcomes.

Work Hours:Standard 37.5hrs, Monday to Friday
Ka aha tō rā e kite ai? - What will your day look like
You will be responsible for:
- Ensuring content marketing strategies and communication initiatives are developed efficiently & effectively, meet defined objectives, and delivered to the agreed methodology for the brand and advertising discipline
- Insight development – ensuring a strong sense of customer insight to inform content strategies and topic development
- Production effectiveness – implementing cost effective and innovative video production models across a range of media – including producing content in-house
- Channel effectiveness – designing strategies based on optimal channel mix across owned and paid media, including social channels, authenticated paid advertising, owned and web environments.
- High quality output – producing compelling creative and well managed campaigns and programmes that deliver business results
- Continuous improvement – using ‘measure what matters’ and sound test & learn methodology to improve and optimise content performance
- Establishing & maintaining positive collaborative working relationships across marketing COE and other business stakeholders
- Risk management – ensure all financial, reputational, and operational risks are effectively managed
What will you bring?
To thrive and excel in this role, you should ideally possess the following:
- 4+ years’ experience in content marketing, ideally within a complex or regulated organisation (but not compulsory)
- Demonstrated content marketing expertise, including best-practice content development - particularly within the social and video content space
- Strong social media marketing knowledge, with experience across social platforms (TikTok, Meta, YouTube particularly)
- Strong brand and advertising capability, including creative development and an understanding of media planning
- Creative nous, with a proven ability to ideate, brief and shape compelling social content concepts, that are fit for platform
- Experience working with video production agencies, managing end-to-end content production from brief through to delivery
- Ability to balance creative ambition with commercial, brand, and compliance requirements
- Insight development, an inquisitive mindset and ability to identify and develop insights into initiatives
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise workload and capacity to deliver on agreed tasks on time
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build positive collaborative relationships with mid-senior level stakeholders
- Sound judgement, strong problem solving and analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, and a desire to produce work of a high quality.
