Mō te tūranga - About the role
As an Investment Risk & Governance Analyst in our Funds Management Investment Risk and Governance team, you’ll play a key role in providing independent investment performance and risk analysis.
This role is responsible for helping to provide multi-dimensional and strong risk management which is essential for us to achieve our return objectives. This role will also assist reviewing climate-related data sources and data points to meet ANZI’s climate reporting requirements.

Ka aha tō rā e kite ai? - What will your day look like
As an Investment Risk and Governance Analyst, you will:
- Review, and where required, design and implement changes to processes and policies to monitor specific data points, and how these impact investment process and reporting.
- Identify data gaps and new requirements and identify new data points coming into the market.
- Complete performance climate risk scenarios and Climate Value-at-Risk analysis, for inclusion in external disclosures.
- Monitor and evaluate the risk exposures of investment portfolios using quantitative models such as tracking error, stress testing and value-at-risk.
- Evaluate the performance of our investment portfolios through attributions to identify the sources of returns and deviations.
- Leverage ANZI’s partnerships to improve the overall risk and data framework.
- Engage with various stakeholders including, but not limited to, internal and external investment management teams, product, operational risk and legal.

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- A track record of success in data-driven roles, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- A foundational understanding of data frameworks, methodologies, and the ability to work with datasets.
- The capacity to build insights and recognise patterns in data, focusing on accuracy and detail.
- A keen interest in markets and investment management, with a willingness to learn and grow in this area.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a supportive approach to teamwork.
- Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-focused environment.
