As the Head of Loan Syndications & Agency, you'll lead ANZ New Zealand's syndicated lending and agency business, driving growth, market leadership and exceptional customer outcomes. Working closely with Corporate Finance, Relationship teams and Debt Capital Markets, you'll provide strategic advice to customers, deliver complex funding solutions, and lead a high-performing team in a dynamic and competitive market.

Ka aha tō rā e kite ai? - What will your day look like?

The Head of Loan Syndications & Agency position is a key leadership role within ANZ's Corporate Finance team. Some of your day-to-day activities may include:

• Leading the Syndications & Agency business, delivering revenue growth, market share objectives and exceptional customer outcomes.
• Partnering with Relationship Managers, Corporate Finance teams and Debt Capital Markets to originate, structure and execute syndicated lending opportunities.
• Building trusted adviser relationships with key corporate clients, identifying opportunities and providing insights into funding markets and syndicated loan solutions.
• Leading ANZ's Agency business, maintaining strong relationships with borrowers, lenders and market participants while ensuring best-practice service delivery.
• Coaching and developing a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, learning and continuous improvement.
• Managing risk, governance and regulatory obligations, ensuring all activities are delivered in line with ANZ policies, industry standards and customer commitments.

This role offers the opportunity to influence some of New Zealand's most significant corporate financing transactions while positioning ANZ as a market-leading syndications and agency partner.

Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

• Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to build credibility and operate as a trusted adviser to clients, stakeholders and market participants.
• Proven experience identifying and originating business opportunities, supported by strong commercial acumen and customer focus.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with customers, advisers, auditors, senior leaders and industry peers.
• Strong analytical capability, attention to detail and financial modelling skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel and complex lending transactions.
• Sound negotiation and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate competing priorities and drive outcomes across multiple stakeholders.
• Deep knowledge of wholesale banking, syndicated lending and agency services, along with a strong understanding of banking systems, products, risk management and regulatory requirements.
