Ka aha tō rā e kite ai? - What will your day look like
In a typical day or week, you will be:

Lead strategic client engagement alongside Relationship Managers and Product Partners, influencing senior decision-makers and positioning ANZ as a trusted adviser across complex corporate finance matters.

Create strategic and insightful content that supports origination efforts and secures new or expanded business opportunities across a range of banking products and solutions, including capital structuring, funding profile optimisation, strategic opportunity assessments, shadow credit rating analysis, acquisition financing, loan and debt capital markets, ESG financing and structured products.

Deliver deep qualitative and quantitative analysis, translating complex financial information into clear and compelling recommendations for executive audiences.

Drive account planning and strategic idea generation across Institutional's industry segments, proactively identifying opportunities to create value for clients and ANZ.

Partner with senior stakeholders across Institutional and the broader ANZ network to deliver coordinated and impactful client outcomes.

Collaborate with members of the global Insights team, sharing expertise and contributing to best practice and innovation across the function.

Lead and develop a team of specialists, fostering a high-performance culture through coaching, empowerment, integrity, empathy and positivity.
Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

Significant corporate finance, institutional banking, leveraged finance, capital markets or corporate relationship banking experience, with a demonstrated ability to operate as a trusted adviser to senior executives.

Advanced corporate finance analysis and financial modelling capability, together with a strong understanding of financial statements, value drivers and banking products.

Proven experience engaging with and influencing executive stakeholders, including CEOs, CFOs, Treasurers and Boards.

Deep understanding of global market conditions, capital markets and the strategic issues facing large corporate and institutional clients.

Strong commercial judgement and an ability to generate strategic ideas, originate opportunities and deliver practical solutions that create value.

Experience leading, coaching and developing high-performing teams and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

Exceptional presentation, communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for executive audiences.

The ability to manage multiple high-priority engagements and competing client demands while maintaining a high standard of quality and attention to detail.

A tertiary qualification/Bachelor Degree, with qualifications relating to Financial Services and additional industry qualifications highly regarded (e.g. CFA, Master of Finance, MBA).
