Mō te tūranga - About the role

 

As a Funds Consultant within the Customer Engagement – Funds Management team, you will play a key role in safeguarding and growing customer value across KiwiSaver and investment products by leading targeted retention and engagement strategies. You will help reduce attrition, improve long-term customer outcomes, and strengthen customer confidence through timely, proactive outreach and high-quality customer interactions.

Role Type: 3 Permanent Roles Available

Location: Auckland

Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week 

Start Time: Between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM

As a Funds Consultant, you will:

  • Engage customers through outbound calls to drive retention and improve customer financial outcomes across KiwiSaver and investment products.
  • Deliver personalised, needs-based conversations, advising customers with light financial guidance, education, and support aligned to their goals and regulatory requirements
  • Operating primarily through outbound engagement and flexing to inbound demand as required to maintain service continuity and customer experience.
  • Collaborate with Product teams to improve campaign outcomes and retention strategies
  • Maintain strong knowledge of KiwiSaver, investment products, and market conditions
  • Ensure all interactions meet regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Capture key insights from customer interactions
  • Identify opportunities to enhance customer value and long-term outcomes

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:

  • Working towards or willingness to complete the NZ Certificate in Financial Services – Investment Strand
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust and engage customers effectively
  • Experience delivering customer-focused conversations and explaining financial concepts clearly
  • Background in retention, outbound engagement, or customer-facing roles (preferably in financial services)
  • Ability to provide financial guidance with confidence within defined frameworks while meeting regulatory requirements
  • Strong listening and analytical skills to understand customer needs and recommend suitable solutions
  • Resilience and adaptability to succeed in a high paced growth focused environment
