Mō te tūranga - About the role
As an Agile Coach in our Performance Centre of Excellence, you will be instrumental in improving business performance by guiding teams to work strategically and effectively within an agile framework. You will deliver critical coaching to Delivery and Leadership teams, empowering them to improve performance within their teams and across delivery streams. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and address challenges, enhancing overall performance delivery and promoting agile best practices.

As an Agile Coach, you will:

Embed a culture of continuous learning, empowerment, rapid experimentation, adaptability, and collaboration
-
Guide and coach teams to follow the agility principles and practices that work best for the team, helping everyone understand the theory, practices, principles, and values of agility through servant leadership. This is achieved through;

Coaching team members on the facilitation of key ceremonies and role modelling best practice where helpful

Improving the flow of work
-
Enabling delivery and helping foster a strong team culture

Support and coach the teams on agility, practices, frameworks, tools
-
Support the creation and delivery of agility training and workshop material for use across ANZ
-
Guide and coach teams to become self-organised
-
Support teams to inspect, adapt, and self-assess to continuously improve delivery
-
Improve transparency of work, processes, and impediments within teams and across Coes
-
Facilitate the removal of impediments and coaching others to do the same
-
Foster a safe and trusting environment where conflicts can be navigated in a healthy way without fear of blame
Ōu Pūkenga? - What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
-
Strong understanding of Agile values and principles and how they can be applied to technical and business teams
-
Knowledge of underlying concepts such as transparency, inspection, adaptation, and theory of constraints etc
-
Previous experience with scaling frameworks
-
Strong coaching and mentoring skills to help guide teams and individuals to reflect and problem solve
-
Ability to facilitate agile training workshops, ceremonies and any other meetings as requested
-
Clear and empathetic communication skills that encourages trust and openness within teams
-
Skilled in dealing with resistance in individuals and teams to understand the ‘why’ of agility
-
Ability to create and utilise metrics and data to help guide conversations, decisions, and improvements
-
Experience in engaging and working with stakeholders at all levels
-
Adaptable approach when applying practices to suit different team dynamics, projects, CoE and organisational needs

Previous experience of programmes or projects and how agile principles might apply to these

Practical experience with key tools such as Jira, Confluence
