About the Role

As a key member of the Tautai (Leadership) Team, this role is responsible for providing leadership and management for Samoa’s support functions, to improve customer experience and drive business performance.

Role Type: Permanent, full-time 

 

 

What will your day look like?

 

The key priorities and responsibilities include:

 

  • Oversight of operations, close coordination with Assurance and ownership of Business Continuity Management for ANZ Samoa
  • Identification, reporting and resolution of all Samoa operations related issues/events
  • Improving the way we do things by simplifying, centralisation and standardising.
  • Sound operational management including covering appropriate MIS procedures to track and analyse performance and trends in key operational business drivers and sound process documentation for all Operations functions including key compliance controls
  • Co-ordination of Regulatory Audits and Internal Audits and including holistically and effectively addressing any adverse Audit findings in Operations in a timely manner
  • Preparation of monthly management reports on business operations including accurate reporting and analysis of relevant operational statistics
  • Drive initiatives planning (time, cost, resources), resource allocation, risk/compliance management and stakeholder engagement to optimize service quality (efficiency and effectiveness).
  • Timeliness and accuracy of Strategic Financial Planning and source best practice operations within Budgets.
  • Focuses on Operational Support and facilities contract management and renewal
  • Payment Processing and ensuring continuity in high volume, time sensitive processes that directly impact customer experience and compliance
  • Managing of Retail, Commercial, SME, AMU Security packages, Discharge of Mortages, PPSR screening

What will you bring?

 

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

  • Strong growth mindset and leadership capability, with the ability to create shared clarity, empower staff, lead with empathy and grow people selflessly
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and effective execution of operational planning including proven project management capability
  • Knowledge of the local laws and regulations
  • Extensive experience in financial services operations with solid understanding of Non-Financial Risk and Compliance management
  • Ability to build and manage complex, cross-cultural and senior relationships, both internally and externally with well-established executive external networks
  • Strong communication skills including ability to communicate confidently and effectively with the business/operations teams across the region
  • Proven strategy and implementation skills to drive profitability and growth.
  • Leadership, coaching and driving high performance culture
