About the Role

The Assistant Manager role is an integral part of our business service proposition. In this role, you will assist the Relationship Manager to develop sustained business growth whilst maintaining sound risk management to ensure that a quality portfolio is maintained. To maximise returns to the group, the position will require a close working relationship with our product specialists.

What will your day look like?

This role is accountable for:

 

  • Deliver business growth through development of plans for new customer acquisitions
  • Execute on increased customer profitability opportunities
  • Deliver improved level of share of wallet through development of targeted analysis to maximise sales opportunities
  • Drive product cross-sell agenda to new and existing clients by working closely with product partners
  • Ensure well managed responsibilities are met in a timely manner including portfolio monitoring practices
  • Maximise own development and performance by executing against agreed development plan
  • Instilling a customer centric approach to business by collaborating with stakeholders and product partners
  • Meet ANZ requirements and adhere to policy in relation to compliance, risk and behaviours
  • Adhere to Group credit policies and standards regarding reporting and documentation

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

 

The ‘must have’ knowledge, skill and experience (KSE) the role requires are:

  • Minimum two years relevant banking experience and relevant tertiary qualification
  • Good knowledge of financial analysis and understanding of the structuring of security arrangements
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

 

The ‘good to have’ knowledge, skill and experience (KSE) the role requires are:

  • Demonstrated customer service skills (internal and external) - includes relationship building
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills
  • Interpersonal skills - confidence, professionalism and integrity and strong sense of accountability.
