About the Role

The Associate Director, Government - South Australia, is critical to making this happen and will sit in the Diversified Industries business reporting to the Head of Public Sector.  

 

In this role, you will work closely with the Head of PCM, WA/SA to lead relationship management and revenue generation for the South Australian Government portfolio. You’ll collaborate with government agencies, ANZ Institutional product teams, Government Affairs, the Institutional FIG desk, and the Public Sector POD to drive strategic engagement.

 

As the local lead, you’ll represent ANZ with an enterprise-wide mindset, identifying opportunities both externally and internally by leveraging cross-business collaboration and insights.

What will your day look like?


As an Associate Director, you will:

 

  • Develop and maintain relationships with Product Partners and Senior Management
  • Advocate for SA Government’s goals within the Bank
  • Leverage banking network to source and find new opportunities within SA Government for the Public Sector business
  • Use leadership skills to support the delivery of ANZ’s PCM payments solutions for the SA Government relationship
  • Support business development aligned with financial targets
  • Execute account plans and maintain relationships with executives and customers
  • Collaborate with product specialists to deliver customer solutions
  • Originate and target new to bank agencies to support the growth of the Public Sector Portfolio
  • Source new opportunities within SA Government
  • Refer inbound leads to relevant ANZ businesses
  • Collaborate with R&A and Risk for structured execution and outcomes
  • Engage with Institutional, Commercial, Retail, Private Bank, and other key stakeholders within ANZ
  • Share best practices with the team and business partners

  • Experienced in credit risk assessment with Product Partners
  • Balances business development with risk and policy compliance
  • Proficient in Institutional Banking and structured finance
  • Broad understanding of payments and banking products
  • Committed to continuous learning and growth
  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities
