About the Role

ANZ’s Customer Migration Program is an exciting and genuinely transformative program for ANZ. Preparing for bank-led migration is a critical enabler of Australia Retail’s future state and integral to making ANZ Plus a success.

 

This is a Leadership role within the Feature Removal Stream of the Customer Migration & Simplification Team. Focusing on the strategic planning and coordination of multiple initiatives, this position involves oversight of timelines and orchestrating effective communication to ensure smooth execution and successful delivery. As part of a passionate and collaborative team, you will play a key role in delivering better outcomes for customers, moving them to a simpler, safer and more modern retail bank.

 

This role will bridge the gap between strategy and implementation, working with the Stream Lead on continuous planning for the future of Simplification to achieve our goal of successfully migrating ANZ and Suncorp Bank customers.

What will your day look like?

As Product Owner, you are accountable for:

 

  • Design and ongoing management of the overall Feature Simplification plan/schedule​ across multiple initiatives co-ordinating implementation with delivery squads and partners
  • Co-ordinate and manage key activities and artefacts across the Stream including, Contingency Plan and Post Implementation Review
  • Coordination of dates and key milestones with relevant stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Bridge the gap between strategy and implementation across the stream, understanding the broader strategy and supporting the Stream Lead communicating purpose and our impact.
  • Provide support to externally delivered feature simplification initiatives using your expertise and relationships to remove blockers and help manage dependencies to ensure smooth delivery
  • Working with other Migration areas to prioritise the backlog, ensuring our Simplification pipeline is well-considered
  • Supporting key stakeholders to understand the plan and what support is required in line with their planning rhythms to ensure dependencies are well-managed.

What will you bring?

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with the various internal teams, technology and delivery partners around the organisation.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions quickly, adjusting strategies and tactics based on changing project requirements.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to apply critical thinking and analyse project data and performance effectively.
  • Leadership: Capability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams and support the Feature Removal Stream Lead to identify critical delivery issues early.
  • Team Collaboration: Comfortable working with diverse teams
  • Stakeholder Management: Skills in building and maintaining strong relationships with the various stakeholders and delivery
