Are you a vibrant engineer that likes challenges, go outside the own comfort zone, and have a day that blends from infrastructure, CI/CD, API development and system / feature design? If the answer is YES, well Lightning is looking for a junior engineer that is looking for a change and a new challenge.
Lightning develops business services that provide product and pricing capabilities for ANZ Plus, as a Lightning engineer you will have the opportunity to work on services that serve multiple value streams and cover the entire gamut of product offered by the proposition from deposits to loans, and credit cards. We are looking for an engineer that likes to work in a high-pace environment and wants to extend is knowledge and experience beyond API development to become a rounded professional.
What will your day look like?
- Collaborate in a squad to design, build, enhance, and run services that deliver unique value to homeowners.
- Tackle challenges and create well-engineered solutions.
- Utilise automated testing, deployments, and monitoring to streamline the release of changes and maintain optimal system performance.
- Focus on solving problems with your squad mates, utilising asynchronous communication through tools like Slack and GitHub, while also embracing face-to-face interactions.
What will you bring?
- Passion for Technology: You stay abreast of the latest developments and care deeply about creating well-engineered solutions.
- Proficiency in Backend Languages: Experience in one or more backend programming languages such as Go, Java, C#, Node.js, or Python.
- Containerization Experience: Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
- Cloud Development: Experience with cloud-based development using GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to break down problems into clear, actionable ideas and plans.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to produce documentation and explain technical concepts to others.
