About The Role
Location: Melbourne or Sydney
Role Type: 12 months Opportunity


This role will support the implementation of APRA’s Capital Reform changes for Australia Retail portfolios. This will include:

  • undertaking initiatives and performing analysis and data quality checks to ensure data is suitable for capital adequacy purposes
  • completing analysis to understand and articulate impacts to capital metrics
  • supporting monitoring & validation to ensure retail ratings models are fit for purpose
  • support redevelopment of sub-optimal ratings models where necessary

What will you bring?

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Strong problem solving skills, written and verbal communication skills, and stakeholder engagement skills. 
  • Strong SAS/SQL/Excel knowledge.
  • Ability to understand data and its relationship to business processes
  • Quantitative degree in statistics, actuarial, econometrics, mathematics, physics, engineering or related field.
  • Knowledge of the APRA prudential standards (e.g. APS112, APS113, APS220) and RWA calculations would be an advantage.
