About the Role
The Portfolio Business Analyst for Institutional Data, Digital & Automation (DDA) is an essential role within the Institutional Banking division, providing targeted support and analysis to ensure the effective governance and delivery of DDA projects. This role demands a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills to manage project data, financials and support project planning. The role also requires great written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement, including the ability to synthesize strategy and delivery progress for executive communications.
Your responsibilities include:
- Maintaining governance systems, including project tracking and reporting tools, to provide transparency and control over the project portfolio.
- Assisting with the management of project schedules, PPM, budgets, and resource allocations, ensuring alignment with the DDA portfolio's strategic objectives.
- Supporting the PMO in the development and maintenance of project management tools, templates, and governance documentation, tailored to the DDA portfolio's needs.
- Authoring executive level governance & briefing packs to communicate delivery progress & strategic opportunities for change.
- Coordinating project communication and stakeholder engagement, ensuring clear and consistent messaging aligned with governance standards.
- Assisting delivery leads with workshops, business analysis and governance forums as needed including material preparation, facilitation and scribe as needed.

What will your day look like?
As a Portfolio Business Analyst, you are accountable for:

Working under the guidance of the Governance & Communications Lead to maintain oversight of DDA project schedules, budgets, and resources.

Engaging with PMO Leads to refine project management tools and documentation, ensuring they meet the specific requirements of the DDA portfolio.

Assisting delivery leads with workshops, business analysis and governance forums as needed including material preparation, facilitation and scribe as needed.

Facilitating communication within DDA project teams and across the division – authoring materials, coordinating meetings and disseminating project information.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

Proven experience in a PMO or project support role within the financial services industry, with a focus on data, digital, and automation projects.

Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage complex tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in project management software and tools, particularly those that support risk and compliance tracking and reporting.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen focus on detail and accuracy.

Strong communication skills, capable of articulating complex information clearly and concisely.

Familiarity with project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, PMP, or Agile frameworks, especially as they relate to governance and assurance.

Experience in financial tracking and managing project budgets within a governance and compliance framework.
