About the Role
As a Risk Data & Governance Analyst in our Performance & Governance team, you will play a key role in driving the robust governance of risk measures by extracting information from disparate risk and operational data sources (Non-Financial Risk (NFR) Hub and Compliance and Operational Risk (COR) systems), synthesizing the data into actionable insights, and preparing charts and slides to present this information in an easily digestible format. You’ll support compliance and operational risk management activities, particularly with respect to monitoring and reporting, as well as management and influencing of key business stakeholders within the Digital Employee Experience team.
Additionally, you will help embed a strong risk culture through facilitating comprehensive root cause analyses of risk events, trends, and themes. Based on this analyses, you will help identify the appropriate preventive and corrective actions, as well as the appropriate accountable persons or teams, and track the actions to closure. You will distill the actionable elements from these learnings to help uplift the overall maturity of risk management practices within the business.

Role Type: Permanent, Full-time
Role Location: The role is location-agnostic, with the job posting open for both Bengaluru and Manila. Candidates will be evaluated during the interview process, and the best-fit candidate will be chosen.
Work Hours: Dayshift schedules will be adhered to
What will your day look like?
As a Risk Data & Governance Analyst, you will:
- Provide regular reporting and insights to leadership for proactive management and governance of the risk profile
- Prepare data analysis and present insights visually, using graphs, and provide commentary to influence senior stakeholders for risk-based business decisions
- Extract and analyze information from various risk systems, and translate the data into actionable insights for governance forums
- Support the management of risk events across the Digital Employee Experience team as required by ANZ’s NFR framework
- Track risk-related actions to ensure they are executed and closed as needed
- Perform end-to-end risk event management, including root cause analysis, remediation, and reporting
- Support Product Owners and Team Leads in addressing risk issues and embedding sustainable risk management practices.
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Demonstrated Experience in Risk and Compliance Management
- Management reporting experience with the ability to translate complex data into insights and present them effectively
- Proven experience in presenting insights through graphs and reports, driving decisions
- Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills to influence senior decision-makers
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with risk and compliance frameworks
- Ability to identify root causes of risk events and track solutions to closure
- Strong analytical skills for identifying risks and trends from data.
