As a Financial Control Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end process of a business unit.


You will support onshore in delivering accurate and timely financial information through production of accurate reporting, including the investigation and timely resolution of issues. You should also be able to adequately manage multiple deliverables (i.e.: month-end close, monthly and quarterly regulatory and supplementary reporting) as well as the management and timely completion of balance sheet reconciliation.


You would also be responsible in driving collaborative efforts in elimination, simplification and automation of tasks and processes as needed.


Lastly, you will help manage the monthly financial close process ensuring appropriate controls and governance activities are in place to support the integrity of the financials.

Shift Schedule: Dayshift schedules will be adhered to

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:


  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field of studies and be a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) / Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA)
  • Extensive experience in financial control within a financial services environment
  • Proven people management or leadership experience
  • Demonstrated an understanding of IFRS and PeopleSoft knowledge preferable
  • Experience in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Advanced MS Excel skills or ability to write macros is an advantage
