About the Role
Role type: 12 month fixed term contract, full time
Role location: ANZ Centre: 833 Collins Street, Docklands VIC
The Privacy Reforms Program is an enterprise-wide three-year program that has been established in response to Privacy risks and regulations continuously evolving. In Australia, the recent reforms passed last year introduced new obligations coupled with heightened penalties. It is pivotal that we remain proactive in our approach to ensure we meet these new obligations and increasing community expectations.
The Privacy Transformation Business Analyst will be a pivotal role in the Privacy Reforms Program, to provide direct business analysis support for the development and implementation of the Privacy Management Application - a strategic solution that supports the centralisation and integration of privacy risk related processes (e.g Records of Processing), assessments (e.g. Privacy Impact Assessment) and registers (automated decision making register) to enable sustainable compliance with the privacy reforms passed in December 2024.
What will your day look like?
This role will be accountable for:
- Gathering, analysing, defining and communicating the Privacy Management Application (PMA) requirements
- Developing process and benefits artefacts eg. As is and to be process documentation
- Aligning business and technology requirements to support successful PMA implementation
- Assisting with activities in implementing the change and embedding BAU transition to achieve value outcomes
- Working efficiently with stakeholders to elicit requirements and develop solutions that are fit for purpose
- Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensuring that proposed solutions are compliant and meet customer expectations
- Adhering to established ANZ policy and procedures
- Demonstrating an understanding of both project and program practices and governances
- Supporting the analysis of project and program risks and issues
- Adhering to change control processes and requirements traceability throughout the life of the project
- Working collaboratively with other team members to plan and manage the project schedule and delivery timeframes
What will you bring?
The critical knowledge, skills and experiences required for this role will be:
- Demonstratable experience (8 years+) in privacy governance or a related field.
- Strong understanding of data protection/privacy regulations.
- Proven ability to work as part of delivery projects and drive organisational change.
- Excellent communication and senior stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to develop clear and comprehensive documentation and training materials.
- Proactive and strategic mindset, with the ability to anticipate and address privacy governance challenges.
- Strong business analysis and problem solving skills, coupled with excellent attention to detail.
- Ready to dive in and work hands-on with enthusiasm and energy as a vital member of a dynamic, fast-paced team.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Experience working in an agile environment.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications desirable
Desirable but not mandatory skills and experience:
- Creative and innovative solutioning ability
- Experience working with architects, engineers and technology teams for solving technical issues
- Capable leading workshops and making design decisions around technical solutions
