This Group Performance Management Specialist role is responsible for reviewing the accuracy of the financial models and reporting packs which support Group Finance Deliverables and ensuring timely delivery completion. The role will also be responsible for the delivery of recurring and bespoke financial performance commentary and insights to help inform Group Executives and the Board. The role is a permanent role based in Bengaluru, India.
What will your day look like?
As a Group Performance Management Expert, you will be accountable for:
- Timely and accurate completion of key content included in the Group’s monthly financial GPEC and CFO Board updates that enable a strong understanding of key financial performance drivers, thematic risks and opportunities.
- Oversight and review of key components of the monthly actuals, outlook and plan results.
- Preparation and review of components of external reporting including quarterly trading updates (as required), semi-annual and annual close process, focussing on externally published documents and support materials for the Head of FPM and Group CFO.
- Leading continuous process improvement programmes including standardising, simplifying and automating existing processes and using our new Planning tool ‘Matapae’.
- Adhoc Finance assignments and projects as required.
- Growing and maintaining effective working relationships with multi-located peers and key stakeholders.
- Supporting the career development and coaching of junior members of the team.
- Implementing and operating quality control mechanisms including review and spot checks of output
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- 10+ years’ experience in a Financial Performance Analytics function, preferably within large or complex organisations.
- Strong understanding of FP&A/FPM activities such as Variance analysis, Budgeting/Plan, Outlook, What-if analysis, etc.
- An understanding of key banking and return metrics, balance sheet performance (capital and funding), revenue and cost drivers
- Lead the team independently and demonstrates accountability & ownership
- A growth and continuous improvement mindset with a positive attitude to learn and build rapport with stakeholders
- Proficient in Excel in structuring, analysing and manipulating data, along with model building
- Proficient in PowerPoint and Think-Cell
- Process Improvement or automation experience
- Working knowledge of key finance systems (PR, HFM)
- Strong verbal & written skills
