About the Role

The Customer Tax Transparency (CTT) competency is responsible for delivering business capability to enable ANZ to comply with its tax /compliance reporting obligations under Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), the Common Reporting Standard (CRS) and other similar regimes.

As part of the CTT Business Analysis Competency team, the Senior Business Analyst (BA) works on the business side of initiatives and engages with business stakeholders to analyse and synthesise information, understand the organisational context and complete business analysis activities.

These activities include documenting requirements and functional specifications for system changes and enhancements, associated business process changes, and working with the Change Team to ensure business preparedness and readiness to adopt the changes through fit-for-purpose training of impacted members, creating guides and communications to impacted members.

The role requires strong stakeholder engagement and management skills to ensure a clear understanding of the program’s objectives, benefits and deliverables.

The role requires delivery of innovative, commercial, strategic and business-oriented solutions to support ANZ’s business strategies and manage and mitigate legal and compliance risks. Experience in FATCA, CRS, Anti-Money Laundering/Know your Customer (AML/KYC) or Compliance related projects will be highly regarded.

What will your day look like?

  • Ensure that assigned business analysis activities are conducted within agreed timeframes in a collaborative manner.

  • Develop requirements that are fit-for-purpose, clear, accurate and display an understanding of the financial implications to the program.

  • Undertake requirements gathering and business process design activities for key business initiatives and application functional components!

  • On allocated initiatives, in collaboration with the Change Management Team, deliver any activities needed to implement the change and transition to Business as Usual (BAU)

  • Adhere to established ANZ policy and procedures.

  • Recognise risks and issues, document, and track mitigations.

  • Understand and document dependencies to enable effective tracking.

  • Collaborate with squad members to have shared accountability, liaise with other teams to ensure dependencies between teams are understood and managed, and identify and remove blockers.

  • Build and maintain strong and effective relationships with colleagues, managers, and stakeholders.

  • Work efficiently and collaboratively with the stakeholders to elicit processes and procedures and present requirements in a manner that are understood by stakeholders.

  • Foster collaboration across teams and business units

  • Work with BA peers to improve, develop and promote the BA profession.

  • Mentor more junior BA’s, able to review and correct other BA’s documentation, able to create professional PowerPoint presentations and present complex topics to senior stakeholders.

  • Continue building a good team culture with open friendly communication and collaboration aligned to ANZ values.

  • Proven ability to document, present and facilitate changes to a business process including detailed work instructions.

  • Proven ability to facilitate and collaborate in preparing business teams for the adoption of changes and enhancements.

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, agile and sometimes ambiguous environment.

  • Strong ability to undertake data analysis and draw recommendations from patterns/observations.

  • Knowledge and understanding of ANZ business and technology landscape.

  • Experience is delivering change programs regarding compliance and meeting regulatory expectations.

  • Solution Design - Designing technical and non-technical solutions to resolve a problem or meet a customer need.

  • Systems Analysis - Translating business requirements into IT solutions by understanding needs, feasibility, and impact.
